I'm throwing codes 12 32 62 I haven't tested the egr. What is the best way to test? Can it be removed and ran without it on there? Would it improve?

32 - EGR solenoid circuit, open or short detected.

The valve will not set a fault code. This code is set by the sensor on top of the valve. It's a black plastic disc with a two-wire connector. It's that sensor that needs to be replaced. In the past it was only available with the EGR valve, but today you might find it available separately, otherwise check in a salvage yard for a good one.

Code 12 just means the battery has been disconnected recently. I've seen code 62 before but there's nothing you're going to do to fix that. It might go away on its own.
