won't change gears

6 CYL • FWD • AUTOMATIC

Hello...I have just recently replace the thermostat and after I got everything back together I now notice that the van dosen't want to come out of second gear and revs high, just wondering if I have knocked a hose of somewhere and can not seem to locate it...your help is greatly needed

Coolant temp sensor maybe. check engine lighton? trans in fail safe mode should have set a code
