I have a 1993 le baron & not sure if my tranny is going..my car was in drive but not going, then it was making a grindin noise. help!!

Gonna have to get underneath and look. There's the possibility a lower ball joint separated and an axle shaft pulled out of the transmission. That would be a relatively inexpensive repair and would cause a rather large puddle of red transmission fluid on the ground.
A similar problem can be caused by a broken spring inside one of the inner cv joint housings. That will let the housing pull out of the transmission too.
