Hello again, got a problem with the ignition switch now. Tried to start the car but the battery had run low and it wouldn't start, now the switch won't release the key. I charged the battery up, disconnected the body computer, reconnnected it, started the car but when I turned it off it still wouldn't release the key. Also, it is in park.

Don't have an answer for that. I can tell you how to get the cylinder out but I've never had one that wouldn't give you the key back. I can only suggest you try rotating the key slightly either way toward "on" and "acc".

You might try wiggling the key up and down too while you pull on it. The tumblers aren't the little round two-piece pins of the past. They use rectangular pieces of metal with rectangular slots in the middle offset varying amounts. Perhaps one of those pieces is corroded or bent.

Hello,

Same issue here :(
('93 LeBaron 3.0 Convertible)

I will appreciate your help.
I did check the voltage on body computer pins, 12V on #8, 0.3 on #10 and 0.3 on #22.
Jumped pins 8 and 22 and got back lights on.

Is that mean that my body computer is broken?

Thanks
Paul
P.S. Before I read this thread I suspected headlamp switch, when disassembling the switch and gauges I had back lights working for some time, but temporary, now with pins jumped looks like it works fine.
