1993 Chrysler Le Baron can't open trunk

Trunk key doesn't work, there is no resistance to the key when turned in either direction.
Release lever by drivers seat doesn't release the trunk.
I have remvoed the rear sear and back rest looking for a release cable but can't locate on.
What options do I have?

It sounds like the linkage has come apart. Are you able to see into the trunk since you removed the rear seat back?
