turn signals illuminate when brakes are pressed

I just bought my truck and used the headlights for the first time today. When I hit my brakes the turn signals light up solid and when I hit my switch they dont blink while the brake is pressed. When im not pressing the brakeand hit the switch they dont do anything. Also my dome light wouldnt turn off. I had to restart my truck and try closing my door again.. It finally turned off.
