The clutch pedal is very hard to engage. It happened all of a sudden and the truck will not start. What should I look for when trying to diagnose and fix this problem?

see if clutch master cyl is full of fluid first then check to see if slave is going an then check to see if clutch switch is sending power through it . check battery for condition including load test.
