Recently, my car's idle speed has been increasing and is all over the place. Usually when I start it, it hovered around 750-1000 RPMS. Lately while driving and taking my foot off the gas, the car sometimes goes up to 2000 RPM. I have punched the gas and usually it either has no affect or the idle increases more. Once while I was parked, the idle increased and I took it out of gear and it raced to over 3000 RPM's. Prior to this it has been running like a top. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and enjoy your day.

Check idle air control motor, clean throttle body and check for vacuum leaks. Here is a guide to help with the IAC location which I think is the problem.
