engine noise

MY CAR IS MAKING A VERY LOUD KNOCKING NOISE THAT IS NOT CONSISTANT. THERE IS NO SMOKE, NO OIL LEAK AND IT IS NOT OVERHEATING. IT HAS NEVER OVERHEATED. IT DOES NOT SEEM TO HESITATE WHILE DRIVING. THANKS!!!

If you're still driving it around like that, then it's probably already too late for that engine. My advice is to immediately stop driving it and tow it to a shop to be evaluated.
