The lens should pop off. The consequence may be, that as that lamp has been exposed to the elements for almost twenty years, it becomes brittle. The tabs or the lens itself may break when trying to remove, even if you are gentle as can be.

if you have a vinyl top u change from the outside if not you will have to remove the sailpanels on the inside.
