I have a 1993 buick lesabre. Engine idles at 2000 rpms. Kicking the gas pedal will sometimes lower the rpms back to 600 rpms. At the same time the transmission started to refuse to go into overdrive (4th gear).
I have installed a new trans filter and fluid with no
help. Also ,at the same time, the cruise control stopped working. I have replaced a lose vacuum hose which is attached to a round unit on the front driver side of the engine. It did not help the problem. Also the "service engine" warning light came on.
Could these problems be caused by a vacuum hose leak somewhere ?
THANKS Wayne
