warning chime

While driving down the road all dash lights turn on and car beeps the warning chime. Speedometer and rpm levels drop to zero. This continues about every 2 minutes. Just changed alternator thinking this was the problem, but now I'm stumped.

Check all grounds.For ignition circuits, fuel control circuits, etc.
