Why wont my key come out when I turn the car off.

If it is an automatic transmission, ensure gear shift is moved to PARK. Try wiggling gearshift.
If you are not able to push the key in to remove, try wiggling it and pushing in the key and turning to lock position.
If all fails, the lock is faulty.
