Vehicle heat not hot

My cars heater is not very hot. Even after driving it, it is still not hot only warm. The temp guage is below half. If it idles, the guage reaches half then the fan kicks on. I just replaced the termostat. My other car is hot and guage is at half.

Check if there are air pockets in cooling system.
Was the coolant in good condition prior to replacement of the thermostat?
Was the heater core checked for clogging?
Is the heater valve opening correctly?

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
