Hi ive just bought a 1992 subaru legacy wagon and recently broke a c.v joint in it . i noticed prior to the c.v breaking that when u turned or hard locked the steering wheel that the car would shudder and the c.v would start to clunk and click. i took the c.v out and the car drove fine there was no more clicking or shuddering. i then reoplaced the c.v with a new one and now the problem is back and the new c.v joint is starting to wear out very fast. the car is a turbo automatic 4 wheel drive.

Check that all four tires are the same outside circumference. Also check the engine mounts to be sure one isn't letting the engine sag. That will change the angles the cv joints travel through.
