Would a 98 Legacy outback computer work for a 92 Subaru? I have a 98 transmission, but the 92 computer isn't compatible due to the tranny being obd2 while my car is obd1. Would a 98 computer work to control my 92 2.2 legacy engine with the 98 tranny?

No you cannot make an OBD2 system work on an OBD1 system! They are totally different you can only go to a 94 model year transmission or rebuild the 92 trans.
