Ran the codes on my 1992 Pathfinder, 3.0L V6, and it came up with the knock sensor code.
As you may know, the sensor is not in an easy place to replace and could cost quite a bit in labor. I saw where people have relocated it, and that seems to be the only option considering the costs could outweigh the benefits for my old car.
My question is: If I relocate it to the top of the engine and splice the wires in, will it have any effect on the readings the sensor gets from the combustion chamber?
Thanks!
