1992 Nissan Maxima Put Shifter Drive Car Wont Move Shift 2nd Will Back Works

when i put the shifter in drive the car wont move but if i shift to 2nd it will go then back to drive all works as it should untill i shift from park again then the same thing happens.

okay, I replaced the engine with a donor out of a 1993 Maxima and have'nt switched the sensors out yet.

Check the transmission sensors etc for proper connections.

What sensors are you refering to? Engine sensors should not be the cause of the problem.

The engine sensors are what I meant. Iwill check the transmission conectors and trouble codes tonight when I get to the shop.
