when i press button the top moves slow and stop sometimes before going up or down all the way

my 92 500sl benz converible top is starting to act up going up and down very slow or get stuck

Lubricate all of the pivot points with something like WD-40 or a dry graphite lube. Check to verify that the convertible motor/pump is receiving steady power during operation. Make sure nothing is binding the convertible mechanism. Our reference shows your convertible system to be electro-hydraulic, so also check the pump operation by verifying constant output pressure.
