1992 Lincoln Town Car: car has some heat but just barely warm. I have disconnected both supply lines and have good flow through heater core, no leaks detected anywhere, coolant level is fine. No problems switching from floor to vent to defrost, and blows fine, just not very warm at all. A/C is very cold, so it "seems" that when you change thermostat in car the blend doors are working, (seems by sound there is an obvious change in source) so any ideas?

If your temp gage reads good then I dont think its your thermostat, but what I have seen alot of is the control panels go bad. Thinking no swiching from warm to cold, or pluged heater core.

Temp reads good, no problems with overheat. Could heater core still have good flow but still be plugged? If so it may make sense. Supply line to core is hot to touch, return line not warm at all.

Was the thermostat checked?
Feel the heater inlet and outlet hoses and the underside of the upper radiator hose. The thermostat should be removed and replaced if these hoses are cold after 10 minutes of operation.

Sorry I just noticed that reply
if have one hose hot and the other cold
its an indication of a clogged heater core
try and flush it again
