1992 Lexus sc400 v8, left side has no spark, power to the coil, checked power while running no flash, checked coil manually by applying 12volts to the power side and breaking the ground, no spark. I believe the coil is the problem but there could be a control modual or computer failure. I would rather replace the defective part only. Can you help me? Thanks.

OK I got a chance to get back to work on this car, all my tests and the codes show a faulty igniter(control module), both igniters are good.

I do not get a flash at the coil, all connectors have proper volts, the coil plug while running has constant voltage, the ohms test on the coil and pickup are to spec.( The car runs on one side-4cyls)

Does anyone know of a common fault in the ignition. Any ideas? Thanks.
