ghost alarm

On my 1992 lexus sc400 an sound alarm of very short duration comes from the area of the right front door when i turn the ignition key to the "start position.. this started about a week ago.

Is there a door speaker? do you think that it may be emanating from there? try removing the radio fuse and seeing if this stops the noise, start here.

yes there is a right door speaker and it sounds like that is where it is coming from. If so what is causing the alarm?

it may not be an alarm, it may be a problem in the amp, i think you should let a radio tech listen to this noise.
