I retrofitted the rear shocks?

I own a 1992 Jaguar Sovereign which I retrofitted the rear shocks on. I also removed the piping and now my brakes don't work, can you help me?

check for a broken brake line at areas pointed out in pic

Yep, the shocks and brakes have nothing to do with each other. You must have cut the wrong line, here is a diagram of the system so you can see what I am talking about. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
