1992 Isuzu Trooper Transmission Started Acting Beaing Held Back Second Gear

Transmission started acting like it was beaing held back in second gear, but another guy said something about the Alternator would effect the Transmission in those models, so I don't know, the Alternator won't charge, so bottom line I love it to death and need to know if shes worth fixing or send her to the crusher.

Improper charging/voltage would affect transmission operations and the alternator is not going to cost you too much, worth a try.
