Van was heating up have changed thermostat 2x's. Gauge fluctuations into hot zone and back almost so fast you can't see it. How do I change the control switch?

check for a shorted wire, if you are talking about the coolant temp sensor it screws in if you do it while engine cold and are fast you won't loose alot of coolant otherwise drain your system then refull with new coolant. it may also be a bad gauge
