we have replaced 02 sensor, cat, muffler, cleaned egr, replaced tubes and hoses to egr etc. still fails, got closer to pass with cleaning egr, and other parts of the test improved too. what now.. mechanic told us to clean egr etc, and promised it would pass

Was EGR tested to be operational? it is key to lower NOx may consider replacement
