Had struts replaced on 92 Tempo now the rear left (passenger) wheel is sitting on an angel. I read that you cannot adjust the camber or caster on these cars. Do I get an alignment, what can be done? Any help appreciated

Check to see if the trailing arms are bent. There are 2 on each side going from the center out to the knuckel that the strut bolts to. If one or more of them are bent, it will change the angle of the wheel. This happens a lot if you had the car towed. There isn't much to hook chains to under there so tow truck operators generally hook the safety chains to the arms then tighten the car down which bends the arms. They are actually quite flimsy and bend very easily.

The only thing that could cause that is if the trailing arms. There are two on each side. Check to make sure they are not damaged or bent. I have actually seen them rust and bend. Also, damage could result if the vehicle was put on a flat bed and secured by them.

Check that and let me know what you find.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. The wheels were straight before I took the car in to get the struts replaced and the car hasn't been towed in the last two years that I've owned it. I'm assuming that trailing arms are control arms as I can't find that in my book. Will check them, let me know if you think of anything else. Thanks again, Holly
