1992 ford tempo gl, 4 cyl, fuel injected. Problem starting. Cold weather. Im gettin spark and fuel pressure is good. I.A.C. Maybe? Also before it got cold outside, on the first start up of the day, it takes while for it to start. I would have to crank it for about 4 seconds or more then I would have to try again, then it finally starts.

For my grandaughters tempo in cold weather I put new platinum plugs and tell her to add some premium gas. Does yours turn over slower than usual in the cold? I also do an oil change and go with 5w30 oil with a little LUCAS oil stabilizer.

Yeah it does. I took out my throttlebody and saw a bunch of sludgey substances in the intake manifold. Could that be a problem too?
