The other day when I drove my car to the doctor's office.I noticed steam coming from the hood. When I got out I noticed a big puddle of antifreeze under the front passenger side. We drove it about 15 miles after putting water in it. It cut off one time. After it cooled off it starts right back up. What could the problem be?

The only thing we can tell over a computer is you have a coolant leak. You know we can't tell more than that. You need a live person to actually look at it to see if the location can be identified quickly, otherwise a pressure test will usually make the leak show up. There's heater hoses, radiator hoses, the heater core and radiator, water pump, cylinder head gasket, thermostat housing and gasket, and numerous other things that could be causing the leak. You could even have no leak except a corroded cylinder head gasket forcing combustion air into the cooling system and making the coolant overflow from the reservoir.
