I have a 1992 F-150, when I'm driving down the and I'm pressing on the gas the trucks starts like chugging or like gasping for air it kinda starts like hopping along but when I let off the gas it's fine and I noticed last night that when I'm sitting still with my foot on the brake it feels like it's missing or hopping for air every couple seconds. What's going on, can u help me out?

The first thing I would recommend is to check fuel pump pressure to make sure it is within the manufacturer's specs. Since this happens under a load, that is when more fuel is needed. It could be a pump, a regulator, or even a plugged fuel filter.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure?
