does my tps need adjusting

just replaced my tps,and now the truck wont start (unless using ether)then it idles high.does the sensor need adjusting (if so how do i do it)or do i have another problem.the truck ran before,but died when at a stop.
it is a 92 f150 5.0

The TPS is not adjustable. Ensure it is correctly seated, the pivot part where it seats onto the throttle body.

I believe you have a different probelm. stalling at stops indicates poor idle control and cleaning the throttle body and IAC cures most of such problems.
