1992 dodge shadow. hit the breaks an it lights up dim like the the running lights are on. turn running lights on it lights up bright lke the brakes are on. hit brakes while running lights are on an it dont change from the bright running lights. any help?

Description is a little confusing but it kind of sounds like bad grounds on the rear light sockets. The ground terminals plug into the side of the sockets. Check those for corrosion.
