blower motor hardwire

im trying to hardwire my blower motor in my 1992 dodge dynasty to the battery and a togle switch. when i hook it up to the battery, the wires get hot and start to melt. what should i do to fix this?

The dark green is your power and the black is ground on the blower motor connector

HEAVIER GAUGE WIRE, AND A SWITCH RATED FOR THE AMPS, MAY BE IN ORDER, ALSO

Without a relay and a fuse in there your going to melt wires and switches or worse a fire.Why dont you just trouble shoot it and getting working the correct way.
