The hood release next to the emergence brake seems to have broken. When pulling the hood release to open the hood to check oil. The lever you pull was very hard to pull it broke. Also the cable, it seems, broke. So now I can't open the hood. What and how do I open the hood with the cable and lever not working and I can't open the hood to change or check the oil?

How difficult this will be will depend on just where the cable broke. Somehow, you need to get access to the part still connected to the latch and grab it with pliers or something. This is never easy and can be downright impossible on some cars without dissassembly of body parts. Sometimes you can access the cable through the wheel well and sometimes you have to get real creative (like McGyver) from under the car to try to release the latch.
