1992 chevy g 20 van,charging system wasnt charging,replaced alternator, and starter coincedentally and i never seen a fusible link for alternator and is voltage regulator internal?

What's the question with the charging system? The voltage regulator is internal. This design is a real pile, probably the worst generator ever developed for a car. It is prone to repeat failures too. The best way to avoid that is to replace the perfectly good battery at the same time. As they age, they lose their ability to absorb and dampen the huge voltage spikes these generators develop.
