If anyone finds them self having this problem, Check out the Temp sensor by the thermostat. It has 2 uses one to tell you the Temperature of the engine coolant and the other tells the computer to apply the choke which increases the fuel in the Throttle body. If the temp sensor is not working on the circuit that let the computer know the engine temperature then you will have a choked out engine even when it is HOT. I found this out because the same thing happened to me. I was half way to town (about 4Km) and the engine would die if I let off the Gas but if I held the peddle to the floor the engine could stay running because it was burning the rich fuel mixer but once it came back to idle it was flooding the engine and would die. I shut the truck off and let the engine cool for a half hour and it ran fine and would do it again once the engine returned to a high temperature till I replace the Temp sensor, never had a problem after that, would be a good thing to keep a extra new part in the glove box because I here this happening allot with these after market quality parts. My family members are Mechanic's Back yard and licensed and the licensed member was the go to for this problem.
