1992 Chevrolet S-10 front driveshaft u-joint

I cant get the u-joint to fully go in the yoke should I try using a c clamp and squeeze the caps together?

No pull the cap off and see if a bearing fell out then put it back on something is holding it from doing that or it's the wrong ujoint
