When I drive my car in the morning my speedometer isn't working, but as I keep driving it all of a sudden starts working, but then bounces all over the place before it eventually stops at the right place. I have noticed too that sometimes it does this when my car is cold and has been sitting all night, and then works normal if my car is warm. I am wondering what this could be?

It could either be the sensor inside the transmission or the speedometer itself
