EITHER YOU MADE A MISTAKE INSTALLING THE SHOES/ WHEEL CYLINDER
OR MAYBE YOU DID ONE OF THE FOLLOWING
YOU DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL BEFORE YOU INSTALLED THE DRUM
YOU DID NOT ADJUST THE SHOES OUTWARD TO WHERE THE DRUM WOULD SORTA BARELY GO ON, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, NOT BE IN A BIND OR DRAGGING HARD.
BASICALLY ----ADJUST, PUT THE DRUM ON (GOES ON REAL EZ) ADJUST (STILL EZ) ADJUST (BARELY WANTS TO DRAG) PERFECT!
THIS KEEPS THE WHEEL CYLINDER RETRACTED (SHOES ADJUSTED OUT) THE "CUPS" REMAIN WELL INSIDE OF THE CYLINDER, WHILE ONLY HAVING TO TRAVEL A TEENY BIT TO MAKE THE SHOES CONTACT THE DRUMS
IF THE SHOES ARE ADJUSTED IN (NOT ADJUSTED AT ALL) THE WHEEL CYLINDER MUST EXTEND "WAY OUT" TO PUSH THE SHOES OUT. THIS MIGHT LET THE "CUPS" GET CLOSE TO COMING OUT OF THE CYLINDER AND LEAK
RETURN WITH GOOD NEWS!
