well i was trynna turn my car on, and i turn the key and it sounded like a snap the switch just turn to on position and off position with out gripping what ever it grips to start the car .i took the key off and still just free spins to on and off position. did my key switch brake on me and what do i need to change this???

there is an actuator rod that goes to the switch either the rod broke or the switch itself.
