Hi I have a 1992 Cadillac Deville. It misses very badly. I can have my foot to the floorboard and all that happens is the motor just revs. I am changing the spark plugs today. I have one question and it is really bothering me when I pulled the plug out. It was burnt in the white area. What causes this. Here is a better picture. I took it out ran a lot better. It still has a miss somewhere but I will find it.

check cylinders for compression a 20% variance between any cyclinder is not good. check plug wires with an ohm meter, 5000 ohms per foot.

I changed the plugs wires today and I changed the front spark plugs and opened the distributor cap. The rotor was burnt up. I didn't change the tears yet I know they are misfiring back their to. I will have my friend check the cylinder compression since he is a mechanic. Thanks.

it may be a head gasket or cylinder dropped as these are famous for that.
