Hi I have a 1992 Cadillac Deville. When it gets down to 5 gallons my problem starts in. When I turn the steering wheel right when I take a turn it acts like it is dying and once the turn is straight I have to put my foot to the floor it acts like the car is dying. Then it finally revs the motor. It only happens when their is 5 gallons or less of fuel and on right turns only. It did it today and I had my foot down to the floor board and I heard like a pop it sounded like it backfired in the exhaust. Any suggestions on what could be going on. Thanks.

There is a fuel delivery issue happening here. It could be a few things causing it, a dirty sock at the bottom of the pump, the pump is out of adjustment, the pump is in the process of going bad, a partially plugged fuel filter, and the list goes on.

I need you to check the fuel pump pressure when the vehicle is having the problem to see if it is within the manufacturer's specs. Do that and let me know what you find.
