I can't seem to unscrew the coolant reservoir cap

92 Buick Century I can't get cap off of coolant sensor to check what size metric socket I need to get sensor replaced. I am trying to remove the top cap on the sensor to see what size metric socket I need to get sensor replaced

That is a plastic on plastic thread. Pry while turning to loosen.

So you mean it actually unscrews like removing a bolt?

If you are removing the cap, yes. It should unscrew.

Cleared the codes today used jumper and then pulled #1 fuse for about 15 sec. After I rescanned for new codes. Got the same codes as had before with one less that one was 15 cts signal voltage high before I replaced coolant sensor
here is what I got now 14 cts voltage low, 27 & 28 gear switch problem I suspect that is why my speedo sometimes works and sometimes intermittent along with a tranny signal like a skip or a gear change then speedo works, 31 park/neutral switch I don't have meters to check that out, 42 est circuit open or grounded needs diagnostics, 46 power steering pressure switch needs diagnostics.I like that mitchell1 manual it gave me alot of useful diagrams etc for my car. And I did find the pcv valve today laying on flat surface of intake only prob bracket above it also wiring harness over it and alt. In way.I still may get it out myself it should pull right out from the grommet.
