Hello, I have a 1992 e34 525i BMW. Just bought it was ina front end wreck. It has a hard loud vibration. The car shakes violently. When it's in park it shakes only a little. I only drove it 40mph home cause it vibrates so bad. The engine mounts seem ok. I only looked at 2 of them. It might be a drive axel or u joints, but before I take all that off, id like some more info. I'm having a hard time figuring out the problem. Any advce is needed. Thanks.

Check all front suspension components for damage, knuckle, tie rods, control arm/bushings, ball joints.

Eventually you may have to go to body shop and have it the front end geometry checked, the unibody/frame could be bent.

it may be the rear transmission mounts causing the driveline to hit the across member.
