Just replaced sealant on oil pan, used Permatex Red RTV, how long till i can fill it up and drive it?

That was probably the wrong stuff to use. The red is designed for high temp, not necessarily sealing fluids. Either gray or black would have been the ideal sealer for an oil pan.
Was this done because there is no gasket available?

Said Ideal for Oil pans thats why i used it apparently they don't use a gasket. sorry about the other reply got 3 emails read the last one first. Anyway how long till i can fill it up and drive it?

Overnight should be sufficient.

If the red rtv leaks i'll get grey or black...
