I'm rebuilding a 22re and really need to know how to set the timing. I know the crank is 5°BTDC but where do I set the cam timing. The head has been removed and rebuilt, but not one person can tell me where to set the cam. This is my first rebuild and really need help.

For this engine, you do not set the crankshaft and camshaft at certain degrees to get the timing. On the timing chain there are 2 marks that you need to match to get the correct timing.

Hope my daigram works correctly. Sometimes they don't seem to show correctly.
