I have a 91, 2WD automaticV6 4runner that I would like to convert into a 4WD. Found a 91 Toyota p/u standard V6 with manual locking hubs. Is it interchangeable? What would I need to turn my 4runner into 4WD?

This project is huge.

You have to replace the complete front end of the vehicle, transmission, plus some major wiring changes.

From the sounds of it, it would be cheaper to find a 4 wheel drive 4 runner than convert.

Do you have a lift at home and can you weld?

Yes and yes. I think I got the front end figured out. What would I need to keep it automatic? Transfer case, cross member, modified front and rear drive shafts??. The 91 p/u that I found at the salvage yard won't be there long.
Will the problem be the manual transmission?

You would need an automatic transmission complete with the transfer gear.

Front and rear differentials MUST match, failing which either one would get damaged once you use 4WD.
