1991 Hardbody oil light stays on when initial startup

I have a 91 hardbody.Cold start, the oil light stays on. I restart and is fine. What needs to be done? Oil pump?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings. If pressure is good, replace the oil pressure switch.

Could be the switch I spose but whole pump is only 80.00 so am gonna just do the whole thing.Tx for reply.
