What does it mean if the oil is NOT milky and the car runs great, no check engine light but there is gray sludge in the coolant reservoir on a 91 mercedes 300 E?

Sounds like sealer was added which is a problem as it causes more issues and cures nothing.

Have the system power flushed and start there.
