This is a E 2200 LWB van, with the R2 Diesel motor.

The injector pump is leaking diesel from the distributor housing on the rear of the injector pump. I believe there is an O ring between the two housings (main and distributor housing)

My question is: can the O ring be replaced without removing the injector pump from the engine?

Depending on where the leak is coming from, it most probably requires removal. Only top part of housing, hose connections are adjustment screw gaskets/O'rings can be performed on vehicle.

The injection pump has to be worked on under very clean conditions so make sure you clean up everything before attempting removal/repair.
